Forest Park Nature Center and it’s hiking trails are located right next door to Forest Park Apartments. You can even access the trails directly from our property. The Center and trails are open year round. Please note that pets are prohibited.
Only .07 of 1% of Illinois remains as the first settlers found it. Forest Park comprises some of that vanishing land. To further protect this rare treasure, the Peoria Park District and the Forest Park Foundation have dedicated this park as an Illinois State Nature Preserve. Forest Park Nature Center offers seven miles of trails for hiking and nature enjoyment and has classes for both children and adults.
